How Cabal App 6x'ed their number of impressions from Google

Featured Image

Cabal App is helping small businesses in Latin America manage their operations in a single place. With more than 300K downloads of the app version and a presence in 19 countries, they are changing how small merchants control their inventory, and register sales; and actually, they have AI integration for expense recording. They have also been featured by Mercury Raise as part of the Raise VII Startups.

As part of their GTM, they knew that SEO would be great as a long-term channel and they wanted to start investing early. The only problem was they didn't know how to. This success story highlights the power of a user-friendly SEO platform like Engyne for early-stage startups with limited resources.

In this case study, you'll learn more about their challenge and how they were able to solve it with Engyne.

Engyne has helped us be more productive with our SEO. We're more efficient with researching, writing, and publishing blogs. What we love about the platform is that it keeps improving based on user feedback. Their ability to add new features is impressive. We've gotten better since we decided to use Engyne

Company

Cabal App is an early-stage B2B startup based out of El Salvador. They help microbusinesses in Latin America to do bookkeeping, have an ecommerce presence, and access financial solutions — all inside a single app. The app is available for all platforms including iOS, Android, and PC. Customers can:

  • Create their own E-commerce store

  • Quickly upload large amounts of inventory data

  • Get a clear view of their finances to make informed growth decisions

  • Track customer activity from contact details to purchase history

  • Expenses registration with voice commands (AI)

Cabal App's co-founders Diego Ruiz and Jorge Chica both worked at Adhara Financial Group in El Salvador. They realized that the niche of micro and small merchants lacked proper tools for digitalization and growth, affecting financial inclusion because of the missing and reliable information about their businesses.

With a free mobile version of the Cabal App, they launched their MVP in 2022. Now, Cabal has over 15 features that help micro-merchants control their finances and be more productive, also Cabal is fully synchronized with PC and tablet versions so that business owners can manage their information anywhere.

Challenge

Not knowing where to start with SEO, what to write and the best practices about hosting content was a major challenge.

The Cabal App team was great at generating early interest in the product but didn't know where to start. They also didn't want to spend months trying different things that ultimately might not work. Hiring an external SEO agency to take over was completely out of budget.

Solution

Thankfully, Engyne provided an out of the box, convenient blogging solution out of the box that gave Cabal App the confidence to start publishing content on Day 1 immediately.

In the last 5 months, Cabal App has already published 102+ blog posts on their /blog.

2 ways Engyne was able to help:

  1. Easy publishing directly to their /blog

  2. Content scoring as you write the blog post to make sure it hits the "Quality Post" standards

Results

Cabal App was able to 6x their impressions and 3x their click-through rate from Google with Engyne in <6 months.

Engyne has enabled rapid growth in our website's weekly impressions. Previously, we averaged 100 impressions per week, but that number has now increased 6x to 700 impressions a week.  We haven't implemented a complex SEO strategy. Engyne's guide has been enough for us to know how to create blogs correctly from keyword research to the number of internal and external links needed for Google to rank us well. And with the new features they're developing, we'll undoubtedly achieve even better results.
